    Major Naomy Santiago is originally from the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. She received a B.A. in history from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL in 2006. In 2017, she earned an M.B.A. from Florida International University.  

    After completing the Quartermaster’s Basic Officer Leadership Course, Santiago deployed to Afghanistan in 2014 under the 1st Armored Division Sustainment Brigade to support Operation Resolute Support/Inherent Resolve.  Following this assignment, Santiago transitioned into the Army Reserves, where she was assigned to Public Affairs Command, where she was deployed to South Korea, and upon her return, transitioned into the 478th Civil Affairs Battalion in Miami, FL. She served as civil affairs team leader, civil-military operations center chief/ company commander, and planner.

    Her tenure includes deployments to Central America as the 7th SFG AOB regional CENTAM planner, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Panama, and Belize.   

    In 2020, Santiago was assessed into the Active Army Reserve Program and subsequently assigned to the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School. She served as the senior branch manager in the Civil Affairs Proponent, HHC commander, and ADC to the deputy commanding general, concluding her tour as the G-35 operations officer.   

    She was assigned to the University of Richmond Spider Battalion in August 2023 as an assistant professor of military science, where she serves as an instructor for the program’s ROTC Cadets and the executive officer for the professor of military science.
