CPT Dustin Elias
Assistant Professor of Military Science

CPT Dustin Elias is a native of Bartlesville, Oklahoma.  He enlisted in the military in February 2001 as a Counter Intelligence Agent.  In 2011, he earned his BS in History from Campbell University, graduating Magna Cum Laude.  He commissioned as a 2LT in the Military Intelligence branch. 

CPT Elias’s first commissioned assignment was at 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, NC where he served as a Company Intelligence Support Team Leader, Company Executive Officer, and Battalion S2.  He was then assigned to 308th Military Intelligence Battalion,902d Military Intelligence Group,  Fort George G. Meade, Maryland serving as the Assistant S3-Operational Control Element Officer in Charge, then Detachment Commander, Fort Meade Military Intelligence Detachment, and S2, 308th Military Intelligence Battalion.  He was then assigned as Commander, Gold Coast Recruiting Company, Central California Recruiting Battalion, Lemoore, California.

CPT Elias served one tour in Afghanistan with the 82nd Airborne Division.  He is a graduate of The Army Counterintelligence Agent Course, Defense Language Institute/ Foreign Language Center Basic Korean Course, Military Intelligence Basic Officer Course, Basic Airborne Course, and the Military Intelligence Captains Career Course.  His awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (1 OLC), Army Commendation Medal (4OLC), Army Achievement Medal (3OLC), Afghanistan Campaign Medal (1CS), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary, Combat Action Badge, and Basic Parachutist Badge. 

CPT Elias is married to the former Maureen Parish of Puyallup, Washington and they have three children: Michael, Gabby, and Coraline.
