SSG Kendra L. Love-Perez hails from San Tan Valley, Arizona, and began her journey with the United States Army on November 7, 2016. She completed Basic Combat Training (BCT) and Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, where she earned the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) of 42A, Human Resources Specialist. Following her initial training, she attended the Advanced Leaders Course (ALC) at Camp Parks, California.
SSG Love-Perez's early assignments included serving as an HR Specialist within the 15th Signal Brigade and the 551st Signal Battalion at Fort Gordon, Georgia, where she took on various roles in the S1 shop. Her leadership skills were further honed during her time with the 8th Army Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion (HHBN) in Camp Humphreys, Korea, where she served as a Floor NCO, NCOIC, Platoon Leader, and G1 PPA NCOIC.
Currently, SSG Love-Perez is dedicated to shaping future leaders as a Military Science Instructor (MSI). Her military education is extensive, including the Basic Leaders Course, Advanced Leadership Course, Combatives Level, Combat Life Savers Course, Unit Armorer Course, Cadre Training Course, and the Tactical Combat Casualty Care All Service Members Instructor Course.
SSG Love-Perez's exemplary service has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Army Commendation Medal (3 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (5 OLC), Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Korean Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Army Service Medal, and the Expert Marksman Badge.
In addition to her military accomplishments, SSG Love-Perez holds an Associate of Arts degree in Culinary Arts with a specialization in pastries and baking. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Communications from the University of Maryland Global University.
SSG Love-Perez is also a devoted wife to a fellow service member, and they are proud parents of a child and a cat.
