    Staff Sgt. Kendra L. Love-Perez is a native of San Tan Valley, Arizona, and entered the United States Army on November 7, 2016. She attended Advance Leader Training (ALC) at Camp Parks, California, Basic Combat Training (BCT), and Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. After graduating, she obtained the rank of MOS of human resources specialist 42A.   

    Her military education includes the Basic Leader Course and the Advanced Leader Course.  She is a graduate of courses including Combatives Level 1, Combat Life Savers, Unit Armorer, Cadre Training, and the Tactical Combat Casualty Care All Service Members Instructors. Love-Perez's awards include the Army Commendation Medal (3 OLC), the Army Achievement Medal (5 OLC), the Good Conduct Medal 2 awards, the National Defense Service Medal, the Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon with the number 2; the Korean Defense Service Medal; the Armed Forces Service Medal; the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal; the Army Service Medal; the Expert Marksman Badge, the Meritorious Service Medal, and the Army Superior Unit Award (ASUA). 

    Her previous assignments include human resources specialist in the 15th Signal Brigade and the 551st Signal Battalion at Fort Gordon, Georgia, where she served in many roles within the S1 shop, as a floor NCO, NCOIC, and platoon leader with 8th army HHBN, and worked as the 8th army G1 PPA NCOIC in Camp Humphreys, Korea. She works as a military science instructor at the University of Richmond Spider Battalion. 

    Love-Perez earned an associate of arts degree in culinary arts with a specialty in pastries and baking. She is working toward a bachelor of science degree in history from the University of Maryland Global University. Her family includes her husband, Staff Sgt. John A. Perez (68W), daughter Harper, and a cat, Merlin.
