Capt. Coleman Hostvedt

    Captain Coleman Hostvedt is from King and Queen County, Virginia. In 2011, he graduated from West Point High School (no affiliation), and in 2015, he graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in industrial and systems engineering and branched engineers. ​ 

    ​Upon his initial permanent change of station to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, Hostvedt completed all required Engineer Officer Initial Entry Training. He was then assigned to the 46th Engineer Battalion, 20th Engineer Brigade at Fort Polk, Louisiana. Over the next three years, Hostvedt served as a platoon leader and company executive officer for the 573rd Route Clearance Company, where he deployed to Kandahar Province, Afghanistan. He then served as a company executive officer for Bravo Company, 31st Engineer Battalion at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. ​​ 

    In 2020, Hostvedt attended the Engineer Captain’s Career Course (ECCC).  After graduating from ECCC, he was assigned to 1BCT, 82nd Airborne Division. As a member of the Devil Brigade, Hostvedt served as the deputy BDE engineer, the 127th Airborne Engineer Battalion S4, and most recently as the commander of Odin Company​ (A CO/127TH Airborne Engineer Battalion).
